Academy Information and Presentation

The Academy for Advanced Learning at Mather Heights is enrolled through an application process.  Following the application submission, students will complete an assessment.  Students will be assessed in reading, writing, mathematics, and dispositions for learning.  We do not use norm-referenced or standardized tests for admission.

Applications for the 2023/2024 school year will be open on December 15, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST.  A link to the application will be posted on the Mather Heights website under the Academy tab.

*Please note: applications are only open to students currently in 1st through 4th grade.  Students join the Academy going into second through fifth grade.  There will not be a first grade Academy class.

Application packets will only be accepted through electronic submission.  The deadline is January 13, 2023, at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).  Late applications will not be accepted.

*Please note, we do not transfer students from the Academy at Theodore Judah into the program at Mather Heights or vice versa.  These are separate programs.

Academy Application, Testing, and Admission Timeline

December 15, 2022 - Academy application opens.  A link will be posted on the MHE website.  Only students currently in first through fourth grade can apply.

January 13, 2023 - Applications for the Academy close at 5:00 PM PST.  Late applications will not be accepted.  No exceptions.

Admission decisions will be sent to applicants in early spring.
